Job Description:

As a Senior Audit Manager within our Public Sector Audit Team at Grant Thornton (UK), you will be responsible for leading a large portfolio of audit clients and solving complex technical matters for our clients. You will project manage client work, ensuring a culture of quality in everything you do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of auditors to deliver high-quality audit services to public sector clients
  • Develop and implement audit strategies to meet client needs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage and coordinate audit teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of audit services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure audit services are aligned with best practices

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) with post-qualification experience
  • Experience of managing audits of public sector bodies and dealing with complex technical matters
  • Excellent knowledge of the CIPFA Code and Department of Health Group Accounting Manual
  • Project management experience and ability to lead teams
  • Experience of using audit software and Microsoft packages
