Role Responsibilities
In this position, you will lead a team of professionals and contractors, leveraging your technical expertise in fuel processing and auxiliary systems.
Located at a prominent energy facility, this role primarily operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work required during peak project phases. We value work-life balance and offer flexibility to manage your time effectively.
Key Duties
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily operations and providing leadership within your designated plant area.
- Ensuring the integrity and reliability of fuel processing and auxiliary systems.
- Developing and implementing engineering and maintenance strategies to minimize costs and enhance operational efficiency.
- Managing contracts, including drafting technical specifications, conducting risk assessments, and supervising contractor activities.
- Utilizing a work management system to coordinate preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and outage management.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, engineering, and quality standards.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of an HND in an engineering discipline, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and membership in a professional engineering institution.
- Experience in delivering engineering projects in operational environments, including systems such as pneumatic conveying, pumps, and turbomachinery.
- Proven ability to lead projects through all phases, from justification and design to implementation and commissioning.
- Experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage contractor performance to achieve desired outcomes.
- A positive attitude and adaptability to change, with a willingness to explore innovative working methods.
