We are on the lookout for a Lead Power Systems Engineer to become a vital member of our Analytics Team based in Ireland, England, United Kingdom.

Position Overview

As a member of the Smart Wires team, you will be instrumental in redefining the grid with our innovative SmartValve technology. Your contributions will be essential in modernizing the grid, promoting the integration of renewable energy sources, and tackling the complexities of the evolving energy sector.

The Lead Power Systems Engineer will work collaboratively with global teams, engage with clients, and assist in the creation of state-of-the-art solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform steady-state, dynamic, and EMT analyses for client transmission systems.
  • Incorporate Smart Wires' solutions into electrical system operations.
  • Design decision support tools for power flow management devices.
  • Execute testing and validation of models and applications.
  • Collaborate on product development and enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in power systems.
  • Expertise in transmission system modeling software.
  • Familiarity with planning criteria and high-level programming languages.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a global team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with network simulations and Energy Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in software development and cloud-based applications.
  • Background in production cost modeling.
