We are in search of a Lead Power Systems Engineer to become a vital member of our Analytics Team based in Ireland, England, United Kingdom.

Your Role

As a member of the Smart Wires team, you will be instrumental in redefining the electrical grid using our innovative SmartValve technology. Your contributions will be essential in modernizing the grid, promoting renewable energy adoption, and tackling the challenges presented by a dynamic energy environment.

The Lead Power Systems Engineer will work collaboratively with global teams, engage with clients, and assist in the creation of state-of-the-art solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct steady-state, dynamic, and EMT analyses for client transmission systems.
  • Incorporate Smart Wires' solutions into electrical system operations.
  • Design decision support tools for power flow management devices.
  • Perform testing and validation of models and applications.
  • Collaborate on product innovation and feature improvements.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the power systems sector.
  • Expertise in transmission system modeling software.
  • Familiarity with planning criteria and high-level programming languages.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a global team.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with network simulations and Energy Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in software development and cloud-based applications.
  • Background in production cost modeling.
