Merchandising Team Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchandising Team Leader to join our team at eXPD8. As a key member of our field-based retail merchandising team, you will be responsible for supervising and training a team of merchandisers to ensure they deliver excellent service to our clients and meet agreed measures and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and Training: You will support the coordination of the merchandising schedule for merchandisers in your area, coach and train fellow merchandisers on merchandising principles and processes, and ensure they adhere to high standards.
  • Compliance and Standards: You will act as a compliance champion, holding yourself and your colleagues accountable for delivering the highest standards, and ensuring adherence to merchandising standards, store policies, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Product Placement and Replenishment: You will arrange and organize products on shelves and displays to maximize visibility and appeal.
  • Promotional and Point of Sale Setup: You will set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts, and special offers.
  • Strong Communication and Relationship Building: You will build and maintain good working relationships with in-store colleagues, particularly department and store managers, and provide accurate and timely feedback to our client account teams.

Requirements:

  • Travel and Transportation: You will be happy to travel across the defined area and have a full UK driving license and access to a car for business purposes.
  • Manual Handling: You will be comfortable with manual handling and moving products from the warehouse to the shop floor.
  • Experience and Skills: You will have experience in retail merchandising, retail, and/or customer service, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Experience supervising, training, or coaching colleagues would be an advantage.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: You will be willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for some visits and be confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer questions about your tasks.
