Job Summary:
Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our team. This permanent position is based in Dudley and offers a competitive salary of up to £51,249 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of services to children, young people, and their families, ensuring compliance with legislation, guidance, and local policies and procedures.
- Decision Making: Make complex decisions regarding social service provision for children, young people, and their families within Dudley.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including the children's division and voluntary sector, to ensure multi-agency assessment, planning, intervention, and review.
- Negotiation: Negotiate the provision of services with external agencies to support the delivery of services to children, young people, and their families.
- Team Management: Contribute to the management of services as a member of the Children's Services Management Team.
- Leadership: Chair and participate in working groups, task groups, permanency planning, and service planning, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Performance Management: Monitor and review effective workload management, ensuring performance management and quality of case work are maintained.
- Professional Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the Service Plan, ensuring ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Staff Management: Monitor the performance of staff through regular supervision, observations of practice, and appraisal, ensuring accountability and growth.
- Recruitment: Work with colleagues to recruit and select staff in the Children's Services division, adhering to the Council's procedures for safer recruitment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of social service provision and legislation.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
