About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Control and Protection Software Design Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As a key member of our department responsible for automation systems and digital real-time control of plants and transmissions, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of HVDC control and protection systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control and protection software for HVDC systems.
  • Conduct simulation studies to ensure the reliability and performance of HVDC systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control and protection systems with other plant and transmission systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for control and protection systems.
  • Provide training and support to customers on the use and operation of control and protection systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Experience in control and protection system design and development.
  • Knowledge of HVDC technology and its applications.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C++ or Python.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as PSCAD or EMTDC.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
