About the Role:
At Encompass LATC Ltd, we provide a comprehensive suite of services, including support for individuals experiencing homelessness and adult social care.
In this position, you will engage with the Housing Advice, Information, and Assessment Service to facilitate a responsive and effective Homelessness Prevention and Statutory assessment service tailored to the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate eligibility for housing and make informed decisions regarding the applicability of statutory homelessness duties.
- Draft detailed decision letters that comply with relevant legislation.
- Offer guidance on topics such as Security of Tenure, Possession Proceedings, Housing Options, and Welfare Benefits.
- Adopt a casework methodology to identify and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Part VI and VII of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended).
- Proven experience in making complex homelessness-related decisions.
- Strong understanding of Housing Options and associated legislation.
- Capability to interpret and clarify intricate legislation and guidance.
- A demonstrable commitment to customer service excellence.
What We Provide:
- Performance Related Pay (PRP) – up to 10% of salary.
- 6.5% employer pension contribution.
- 23 days of annual leave (pro rata) plus Bank Holidays.
- Regular wellbeing initiatives.
- Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
Additional Information:
