As a Service Transition Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth handover of services from project delivery into live operations, fostering clear communication, risk management, and operational readiness across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transition Planning: Develop and manage detailed plans covering timelines, activities, and resources to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, collaborate with Operations teams, and implement effective mitigations to minimize disruptions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Ensure transparent updates and issue resolution between Delivery, Operations, and Senior Management to maintain trust and confidence.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards and adherence to policies throughout the transition process, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Documentation: Oversee and maintain key documents such as transition plans and knowledge base articles to facilitate knowledge sharing and retention.
- Training: Lead knowledge management and training initiatives to prepare teams for new services, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements for more efficient service transitions, leveraging best practices and industry trends.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report progress to stakeholders, ensuring accountability and transparency.
- ITIL Support: Assist with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management, to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing service transitions in IT environments, with a strong understanding of IT service management principles.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL (V4 Managing Professional or V3 Service Transition) and its application in service transition processes.
- SC clearance (or willingness to undergo), with potential for DV clearance, to ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Excellent multitasking, analytical, and communication skills to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Experience with IT service management tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira, to streamline service transition processes.
