Rural Planning Specialist

Salary: Competitive based on qualifications and experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rural Planning Specialist to become part of a dynamic planning and development consultancy. The ideal candidate will oversee the effective execution of diverse residential, rural, and mixed-use planning applications.

Required Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant planning discipline, along with membership in the RTPI. A valid UK driver’s license is mandatory due to the travel requirements associated with this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting assessments on site development possibilities
  • Collaborating with clients and local authorities to determine the planning viability of potential sites
  • Drafting and submitting planning documentation related to significant planning applications
  • Preparing and presenting evidence for appeals
  • Managing the discharge of planning conditions
