Job Summary:
The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Assessment and Guidance Team. As the first point of contact for the public and providers of public services, you will play a pivotal role in raising awareness and understanding of our organisation and its role in resolving complaints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming enquiry calls and provide relevant guidance and advice on how to make a complaint
- Set up new complaints on our complaint handling system
- Provide strong administrative support to the team
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our organisation and its services
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience of working in a frontline, customer-facing role
- Good knowledge and experience of a customer services environment, ideally within a public service organisation under the Ombudsman's jurisdiction
- Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and experience of a range of IT applications
