Materials Manager

The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring the site supply chain is managed in line with the company's EHS policies and environmental protection procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and direction to the site Supply Chain team.
  • Responsible for the site Master Production Plan.
  • Ensure the Supply Planning team delivers robust detailed production schedules.
  • Develops appropriate replenishment strategies and targets for achieving agreed inventory levels.
  • Works effectively within the manufacturing operation to maximize customer service levels and on-time delivery of customer orders.
  • Collaborates with plant management on new initiatives for achieving maximum throughput, quality, and efficiency.
  • Leads the implementation of local supply chain improvement initiatives.
  • Manages the supplier base to ensure consistent and reliable supply of all materials used in production and/or site activities.

Requirements:

  • University Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain management, business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive supply chain experience gained from a senior operational role within a vertically integrated, multi-national organization.
  • CPIM and/or CSCP certification from the Association for Operations Management (APICS) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience in motivating and interfacing at site, regional, global, and corporate levels, preferably within a matrix reporting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead improvement programs within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of raw material planning/procurement, scheduling, and/or inventory controls systems.
  • AX2012 systems knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Willing and able to travel outside of the UK 10–15% of the time.
