We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in West Yorkshire. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning disabilities and additional needs.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with SEN. Your role will involve:
- Providing 1:1 support to students with SEN
- Assisting with lesson planning and delivery
- Supporting students with positive behavior management
- Collaborating with teachers to develop individualized education plans
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or higher
- Experience of working with students with SEN, SLD, PMLD, ADHD, SEMH, and ASD
- Minimum GCSE Maths and English at Level 2/C or above
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories
