KES Solutions UK is pleased to announce an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to become a vital part of our team on a permanent basis.

The selected individual will integrate into an established group of maintenance professionals within a dynamic production setting.

This role involves supporting the team with comprehensive maintenance responsibilities, executing both scheduled and preventive maintenance to ensure the seamless operation of all facility equipment.

Compensation: Base salary of £40,215, complemented by an 18% shift premium, bringing the total to £47,453.

Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Specialist include:

  • Conducting reactive, planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance on facility machinery
  • Enhancing and managing the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule
  • Documenting and relaying maintenance data through written, electronic, and verbal communication
  • Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new machinery
  • Providing support to both internal and external clients, including diagnosing and rectifying equipment issues such as electrical malfunctions, mechanical breakdowns, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety Management Systems in line with the company's policies and statutory requirements, considering the complexities and risks associated with operations
Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in fault diagnosis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Expertise in troubleshooting control systems, drives, inverters, and PLCs, including Siemens Step 7 / TIA portal
  • Familiarity with general office equipment, workshop tools, and handheld machinery
  • Experience in welding techniques (MMA or MIG)
  • Background in machinery installation and modification
  • Capability to interpret and troubleshoot using electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engineering schematics
  • Competent in computer applications
Qualifications:

HNC level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Degree preferred)

NEBOSH or IOSH certification is advantageous.
