Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our Breakfast Food and Beverage team at Langstone Quays Resort. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests during breakfast service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional levels of service to all guests, responding to requests and complaints in a timely manner and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare the outlets ready for service and ensure the operation is left ready for the next shift.
  • Take beverage orders from customers, prepare and serve drinks as requested, paying attention to detail.
  • Assist with the receiving and storage of goods.
  • Maintain a good food safety, hygiene standards and practices.
  • Assist with cellar operations.
  • Assist with the preparation of a food and beverage functions service.
  • Clean equipment.
  • Clean and maintain glassware and china for service.
  • Prepare waiter service stations.
  • Prepare tables.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene, including wearing and maintaining a clean uniform at all times.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, including any department-specific procedures such as cash handling and credit procedures.
  • Be aware of and follow all Health and Safety procedures.

  • Confident and approachable.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Good team work and ability to work well alone.
  • Calm under pressure during busy periods.
  • Excellent selling and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative and problem solve.
  • Resilience and calm attitude when dealing with face-to-face complaints.
