Electrical Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at AWC STAFF SERVICES LTD. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the sales team, responsible for costing major tenders to help the business achieve its sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize your expertise to accurately price projects
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and related documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and suppliers to gather relevant information and ensure accurate estimations
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Review and evaluate bids and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and budgets
  • Maintain and update a database of cost estimates and historical project data
  • Communicate and present estimates to project teams and clients
Requirements:
  • A track record of experience in electrical estimation and project costing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools
