Role Overview

As a key member of the Major Projects division, you will be responsible for managing the tendering process for significant projects.


Typical projects include DNO contestable works ranging from 33kV to 132kV and renewable energy balance of plant works, covering DC/LV up to 132kV.

Knowledge & Experience Required

- Proven experience in ICP at 66kV and above or in renewable energy sectors (BESS, Solar, Wind) is essential.
- A degree, HNC, or HND in an electrical-related field is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project for program development is a plus.
- Ability to utilize CAD for site layout design is preferred.
- Experience in a commercial, multi-divisional organization is crucial.
- A thorough understanding of current HV electrical projects and ICP sectors is necessary.
- Up-to-date knowledge of statutory requirements, legislation, and technical advancements is expected.
- Familiarity with health and safety practices and risk assessment processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures in all tasks.
- Manage the tendering of multiple and/or major projects effectively, ensuring safety, competence, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Guarantee that all projects comply with current legislation, including HASAWA, NRSWA, and C.O.S.H.H.
- Take full responsibility for cost estimation and quotations as needed.
- Identify and communicate commercial opportunities to Directors and Senior Managers as appropriate.
- Develop front-end programs for specific tenders using project management tools (desirable).
- Conduct final reviews of completed projects to assess financial and delivery performance.
- Collaborate with your line manager regularly to manage critical project timelines.


Work closely with the Major Projects teams to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient execution of operations.

- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure effective task completion.
- Represent the company at customer and other organizational meetings when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
- Participate in site surveys for tendering purposes as necessary.
- Identify and implement improvements in processes and operations.
- Ensure adherence to established working practices and processes.
- Submit tenders in a timely manner, meeting pre-agreed deadlines.
