Job Summary
TÜV Rheinland is seeking a highly skilled Technical Assessor to join our team. As a Technical Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting technical reviews of test reports, inspection reports, and factory audit reports to ensure compliance with assigned conformity assessment programs and technical regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough technical reviews of test reports, inspection reports, and factory audit reports to ensure compliance with assigned conformity assessment programs and technical regulations.
- Coordinate with approved subcontracted laboratories and inspectors to arrange testing samples as necessary.
- Work with the inspection department to ensure pre-shipment inspections are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
- Select and lead factory audit teams for Type 3 or Type 5 saleem schemes as per ISO/IEC 17067 and licensing procedures for other conformity assessment programs.
- Make certification decisions based on the results of technical reviews conducted.
- Issue final certificates of conformity, product certificates, and shipment certificates via secure shipment platforms or saber systems as applicable.
- Upload supporting documents and records in secure shipment platforms or saber systems.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients regarding conformity assessment program requirements.
- Develop product inspection checklists based on conformity assessment program requirements.
- Share customer feedback with immediate supervisors to improve services offered to clients.
- Comply with and ensure implementation of company and customer quality, health, and safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary supporting documents and records for certificate issuance.
- Conduct application reviews for assigned conformity assessment programs using applicable platforms.
- Record application review results in file processing checklists or saber systems as applicable.
- Assign authorized senior technical officers or technical officers for performing technical evaluations and certification decisions based on product categories.
- Draft certificates of conformity, notifications of registration, and non-conformity reports via secure shipment platforms or saber systems as applicable.
- Update the status of certificate issuance in saber systems for Saleem program files based on technical review and certification decisions.
- Share customer feedback with immediate supervisors to improve services offered to clients.
- Comply with and ensure implementation of company and customer quality, health, and safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Special Assignments
In addition to the above-listed job duties, special assignments may be carried out based on the instructions of the direct superior. These special assignments are usually connected to the above-listed activities or are a result of company policy.
Authority
The incumbent is authorized to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned responsibilities, provided that such action is consistent with sound company and cost-effective practices and is consistent with position guidelines as outlined above.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in technical activities.
- Excellent technical understanding.
- Good time management.

- Good knowledge of MS Office.
