About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrator to join our Data Security, Privacy and Records Management Team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As an Administrator Information Governance, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our office and providing administrative support to the Head of Data Security, Privacy and Records Management and the wider function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Data Security, Privacy and Records Management Team, including managing the SharePoint site and ensuring the quality and content of data held within it.
  • Act as a communication channel between the function, other departments, and external agencies, providing advice and support as needed.
  • Ensure the timely prioritization of all administrative duties and maintain the smooth running of the office.
  • Input and process information held in the Data Security, Privacy and Records Management area of the CIDG SharePoint.
  • Support the Team in ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Protection Act 2018, and Data Security Protection Toolkit and Network and Information Systems.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Administrator with a strong understanding of data protection and confidentiality legislation. You will have demonstrable practical experience in various administrative and/or secretarial procedures and be able to take actions accordingly. You will also have experience of running bring forward systems and chasing progress on actions, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office for the creation of high-quality formatted reports.

You will be a qualified individual with a strong commitment to your own Continued Professional Development (CPD) and be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge in this area.
