About the Team:

The Claims Strategy Team is a vibrant and inclusive unit dedicated to managing claims and analyzing claims data to foster learning and drive strategic initiatives. The team emphasizes collaboration with external legal representatives and enhances dispute resolution efforts within the organization. About NHS Resolution:

NHS Resolution operates as a not-for-profit entity within the NHS framework, focusing on fair claims resolution and knowledge sharing across the healthcare sector. NHS Resolution manages various indemnity schemes on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, primarily addressing liability claims against NHS Trusts and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

The Claims Strategy Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing claims from initiation to resolution, implementing innovative solutions that align with organizational strategies and adapting to new legislative impacts.

Key duties include:

  • Leading various projects that require strategic thinking and planning.
  • Collaborating with claimant representatives to facilitate early claim resolutions.
  • Providing support and resources to Claims Managers to explore new operational methods.
  • Testing and piloting new initiatives in partnership with the Continuous Improvement Team.
  • Managing a personal caseload of traditional claims.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise in claims management and strong organizational capabilities, along with the following competencies:

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in managing projects or participating in project-based tasks.
