About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Supported Living services at Hft Cheshire & Merseyside. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities to live their best lives possible.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have recent experience of leading shifts, motivating colleagues, coaching, and mentoring at a team level. You will also have knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to adults with learning disabilities, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and Positive Behavioural Support management and techniques.

You will need good IT skills and experience of maintaining records to be a success in this role. Additionally, you will need to hold a Level 2 diploma in Adult Social Care and be willing to undertake the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care within an agreed timescale as part of your development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage people, ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of the people we support.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all regulatory and legislative requirements, internal standards, and local authority contractual standards are met.
  • Work with the Service Manager/Deputy Service Manager to ensure that the staff team assist and encourage people to become part of their community.
  • Lead and promote good practice, making full use of the Hft systems.
