Senior Quantity Surveyor - Cost Consultancy

Streamline Search Ltd, a leading technical recruitment agency based in the UK, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading cost planning and management efforts, overseeing contract administration, and ensuring the financial success of projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project budgets, prepare accurate cost estimates, and oversee the preparation of tender documents
  • Lead contract administration, including preparing valuations, progress claims, and managing variations
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, cost control, and ensure financial accuracy
  • Take a leading role in project programming to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
  • Ensure health and safety compliance across multiple project sites
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders, providing expert advice and ensuring satisfaction
  • Mentor and guide junior surveyors and assist with their professional development
Requirements:
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Experience in a contracting or consultancy environment
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver results
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning
