We have an exceptional opportunity for a Claims Specialist to join our Birmingham team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive and efficient claims services to our clients. With your proven expertise in commercial claims management, you will have the autonomy to oversee a portfolio of claims from inception to resolution, ensuring optimal outcomes for our customers.

The Role:

  • Manage commercial claims from initiation to conclusion, showcasing your knowledge of insurance policies, coverage types, and claims procedures. Your precise evaluation and processing of claims within established timelines will ensure the seamless resolution of each case.
  • Work closely with various teams within our organization and external partners to facilitate timely and effective claims resolution. Your strong communication and coordination skills will be vital in achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Utilize your analytical abilities to assess claims data, identify trends, and develop strategies to mitigate risk, enhance our overall claims management processes, and reduce claim frequency.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients, brokers, insurers, and industry partners, dedicating yourself to enhancing customer satisfaction. Your commitment to exceptional service will bolster our reputation in the industry.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in our claims handling processes. Your proactive approach will empower us to make informed decisions and continuously improve our services.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that highlight key performance indicators, demonstrating your ability to effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders.
  • Conduct on-site assessments in the event of a loss, investigating circumstances and constructing robust claims that lead to swift and favorable resolutions.
  • Negotiate with insurers to secure the most advantageous settlement terms under the policy, showcasing your advocacy skills and commitment to achieving optimal outcomes.

Knowledge:

  • A strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, coverage types, and claims procedures is essential for this role.
  • Experience in brokerage is crucial to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
  • Your expertise in client relationship management is vital for building and maintaining positive connections with our clients.
  • A grasp of general and legal principles of insurance will further enhance your effectiveness in this position.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and legal frameworks is important to ensure compliance and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) are required for this role.
  • A level qualification is desirable.
  • Possession of CII & CILA certifications is considered an asset.
