Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Maidstone
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding All Age District Special School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with profound, severe, and complex learning difficulties, including ASD, in their daily activities and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with profound, severe, and complex learning difficulties, including ASD, in their daily activities and learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement individualised education plans (EHCPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Work closely with the teaching team to develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with complex needs.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour management strategies to support students with challenging behaviour.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is preferred.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to get a new one.
