About the Role

This is a responsible position that requires a caring and compassionate individual to support adults with multiple needs. The role is varied, rewarding, and satisfying, and involves working as part of a team to provide support and care to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support adults with multiple needs in a residential setting, providing personal care, assistance with daily living tasks, and promoting independence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the needs and preferences of each person are met.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry, as needed.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as Positive Behaviour Support.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with adults with multiple needs, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Confident in assisting with personal care, moving and handling, and able to adapt to different abilities and needs.
  • Compassionate and empathetic, with a commitment to treating individuals with dignity and respect.
  • Driver desirable but not essential.

  • 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part-time), which increases after 3 and 5 years' service.
