I. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main objective of this role is to execute a range of material handling tasks related to the receipt, storage, distribution, and dispatch of goods in a prompt and efficient manner. This encompasses both raw materials and finished products. A significant aspect of this position is to guarantee that all warehouse machinery is accessible, properly maintained, and operated safely. Clear communication and feedback with all personnel involved in material handling is essential to swiftly and accurately address any issues.
II. SUPERVISORY ROLE
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
III. EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Ability to lift up to thirty-five (35) pounds to a height of six feet or more.
Familiarity with distribution protocols is essential.
Must possess valid certifications and qualifications to operate various types of mobile equipment (forklift, CDL trucks, aerial lifts, etc.). A general understanding of the production process is required.
Proficient use of computer tools, including Excel, Word, and Oracle is expected.
High accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
Strong organizational abilities are necessary.
Understanding customer satisfaction and the ability to meet those needs is important.
Comprehensive knowledge of the company's Safety, Environmental, and Health policies is required.
Effective communication skills are essential.
Good judgment in evaluating situations is necessary.
Excellent follow-through skills are required.
WORK SCHEDULE: 12-hour shifts either from 6:45 AM to 7 PM or from 6:45 PM to 7 AM.
WORK SHIFT: 12-hour shifts, with occasional voluntary or mandatory overtime.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with forklift experience and certification, as well as basic computer and math skills.
PPE: ANSI Z41 approved safety footwear, hearing and eye protection as required for the work environment, gloves as per task requirements, and other PPE as designated.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Forklift, mobile equipment, various hand, power, and pneumatic tools, computer, railcar hose, writing instruments, tape dispensers, stretch wrap, box cutters, and general office supplies.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: The role is based in a warehouse production facility or a climate-controlled office environment. Employees may be exposed to moving parts and mobile equipment, with potential noise levels requiring hearing protection in production areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Review compliance guidelines regularly.
- Ensure materials are supplied to production following FIFO inventory management principles.
- Report any issues with raw materials promptly.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts of raw materials.
- Unload raw materials and store them in the warehouse.
- Notify Quality Control of incoming raw materials.
- Ensure returned raw materials from production are accurately weighed and tagged.
- Monitor warehouse conditions daily for unsafe storage practices and correct them.
- Maintain accurate records of all raw materials stored.
- Prepare shipments of raw materials to off-site locations.
- Verify weights of materials being shipped.
- Provide information on raw materials needed for production.
- Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in training programs as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position is categorized as MEDIUM - HEAVY based on the Dictionary of Occupational Titles 1991 Revised Edition.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and is a vital member of the Production Planning and Control Department. There are no direct reports to this position.
