Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Learning Support department as a Teaching and Learning Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to provide support to students with their learning in class and contribute to the setting of targets for their development.

About the Role

As a Teaching and Learning Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with a range of needs. You will be responsible for supporting students in class, assisting with lesson planning and preparation, and contributing to the development of learning materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with their learning in class, including providing individualized support and assistance with lesson activities
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and preparation, including developing learning materials and resources
  • Contribute to the development of learning targets and plans for students
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students receive consistent and high-quality support
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

GCSE English and Maths at 4 (C) grade or above or an equivalentThe ability to manage, motivate and support studentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA commitment to providing high-quality support to students

Working Arrangements

This role is 5 days a week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days). You will be required to work a variety of hours, including some evenings and weekends, to support the needs of the school and its students.
