Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our Alternative Curriculum Centre for Extended Student Support (ACCESS) department. This rewarding role involves implementing agreed work programmes on a one-to-one and group basis within the ACCESS inclusion areas and garden, overcoming barriers to learning by understanding Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behaviour needs and their implications within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing agreed work programmes on a one-to-one and group basis
  • Overcoming barriers to learning by understanding SEN and behaviour needs
  • Working within the ACCESS inclusion areas and garden
  • Collaborating with colleagues to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths at C (4) grade or above or an equivalent
  • Ability to work with students with SEN and behaviour needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
