Job Title: Manager of Referrals and Placements
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Accountable To: Board of Directors
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Location: Hybrid (combination of remote work and on-site attendance at designated centres).

We are looking for a dedicated Manager of Referrals and Placements to join our team in a permanent, full-time capacity across all locations. The successful candidate will spearhead business development efforts to ensure PJ Care consistently achieves optimal bed occupancy through a strategic and organized sales approach aligned with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the referral management process, ensuring timely assessments and compliance with contractual and financial prerequisites prior to admissions.
  • Ensure alignment with business strategy, achieving development goals and sales targets.
  • Manage the tendering process for services, ensuring successful bids.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop new business connections, particularly with Personal Injury Lawyers and Brain Injury Case Managers.
  • Collaborate with the PJ Care team to implement company strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Meet targets and report on sales KPIs to maintain occupancy levels at our neurological care centres.
  • Serve as the primary contact for placement inquiries and referrals.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored presentations as required.
  • Facilitate negotiations between PJ Care Ltd and care commissioning teams.
  • Participate in referral meetings, ensuring all relevant information is prepared.
  • Assist in compiling Board sales reports and manage the weekly sales pipeline.
  • Work with the Operational Board to promote key messages in line with the five-year business strategy.
  • Proactively seek and develop new opportunities.
  • Maintain the CRM database and generate necessary statistical reports for senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in the sales process.
  • Uphold PJ Care values and support the wider team in achieving these standards.
  • Stay informed about neurological conditions and their impact on residents and families.
  • Remain knowledgeable about competitors in the sector.
  • Engage in relevant business functions, events, and meetings as a member of the Operational Board.
  • Attend exhibitions and conferences for promotional purposes, which may require overnight stays.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably requested.

Essential Qualifications:

  • NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Healthcare Professional.
  • A minimum of five years of post-qualification experience as a registered professional.
  • Proven experience in managing referrals and placements.
