Position Overview

The Oxford Radiology, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Diagnostic Research Group is a dynamic, multidisciplinary team affiliated with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This group is at the forefront of evaluating diagnostic digital health technologies, particularly focusing on AI-assisted image analysis applications. Co-led by esteemed professionals in Emergency Medicine and Radiology, the group is expanding rapidly and collaborates with various clinical, academic, and industrial partners both locally and internationally.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all clinical trials within the research group are established, executed, and managed in compliance with Good Clinical Practice, relevant Standard Operating Procedures, and applicable legislation/governance.
  • Lead and manage the administrative and operational team within the clinical research group.
  • Oversee the financial management and budgeting of the research group, ensuring a balanced portfolio that supports sustainable income generation for team development.
  • Collaborate in the development and operational execution of the research group's strategic plan alongside consultants, researchers, and the Clinical Research Manager.
  • Drive business development initiatives within the research group to cultivate a sustainable mix of commercial and non-commercial research opportunities.
  • Act as a vital member of the clinical research team, coordinating with clinical and medical staff to provide necessary updates and information regarding the research portfolio.
  • Represent the research group in relevant meetings as needed.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Research Manager to ensure the effective deployment of clinical skills and expertise.
