Position Overview:
Our client is seeking to enhance their team with a new opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator within the Purchasing department.

This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary ranging from £27,000 to £30,000 per annum, based on experience.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm (37.50 hours per week). Initially office-based, with potential for hybrid working arrangements in the future.

Benefits:
21 days of annual leave, increasing to 26 days with tenure, in addition to bank holidays. Additional perks include Medicash, parking, pension contributions, and Bupa coverage available later.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Purchasing Administrator, your duties will encompass:

  • Acquiring products (both direct and indirect), materials, and services essential for timely fulfillment of sales orders.
  • Fostering strong relationships with suppliers through consistent communication.
  • Coordinating with hauliers and suppliers to arrange the collection and delivery of goods.
  • Managing inventory levels and scheduling deliveries to optimize production efficiency.
  • Maintaining precise records of purchases, suppliers, and deliveries.
  • Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Purchasing Manager and team.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Prior experience in an administrative role, preferably within purchasing or procurement.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • A collaborative team spirit.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
