Chief Constables' Message

We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to support the operational effectiveness of the Joint Force Vetting Unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating, implementing, and coordinating an administrative function.

The Role & Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily management of the email system, responding to internal and external enquiries relating to vetting levels and discipline & complaints histories.
  • Operating and maintaining an effective vetting administrative function, including daily management of email inboxes and responding to vetting enquiries.
  • Administrative support for Business Interest applications, ensuring accurate recording.
  • Coordinating vetting forms for applicants, ensuring timely completion and recording on Core-Vet.
  • Providing advice to HR teams, Recruitment Managers, Divisions, and Departments on all levels of vetting and associated security measures.
  • Liaising with vetting contractors, sponsors, divisions, and departments to ensure timely vetting and renewal.

Skills & Experience

Candidates must possess:

  • Competent administrative skills.
  • Operational knowledge of the Intranet and Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach.
  • Experience within a Personnel or HR environment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of other computer applications, including SAP and Centurion systems, is desirable.
