Position Overview

Thales is seeking a Supply Chain Materials Specialist to manage both physical and administrative duties within the Centralized Discrepant Material Area (CDMA). This role involves verifying that the physical inventory aligns with the Quality Notification (QN) quantities, distributing materials to inventory and production work orders, and overseeing the scrapping process. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining records of processed items.

In this role, you will conduct cycle counts in the CDMA area to ensure inventory accuracy and create and process Quality Notifications. You will also be tasked with generating CDMA reports and distributing them to relevant stakeholders while directing QNs to the appropriate buyers, quality assurance, or engineering personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze SAP data to support Distribution Operations, validate inventory movements, and recommend optimal processing methods to management.
  • Foster relationships with internal customers to uphold inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and implement continuous process improvement initiatives while maintaining operational plans to meet customer shipment and production requirements.
  • Promote a safe working environment and cultivate a culture that supports lean initiatives and values.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including receiving inspection, production control, and shipping, to complete QN tasks.
  • Generate Quality Notification Reports utilizing Excel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience and training.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business workflows related to warehouse distribution; capable of writing reports and business correspondence.
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate with managers, clients, and the public.
  • Problem-solving abilities to navigate various concrete variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems; proficient in MS Excel (including V-lookup and pivot tables).
  • Project management experience to coordinate teams for project completion.

Special Position Requirements

  • Schedule: Core business hours Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work.
  • Environment: Warehouse setting.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Regulatory Compliance: None.

What We Offer

The anticipated total compensation range for this role is $32,000 to $59,670.00 USD annually. Thales reserves the right to adjust compensation based on various factors.
