About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Project Manager / Construction Director to join our dynamic and fast-paced team at BAM Nuttall.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the project, ensuring successful delivery and high standards of professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, and the wider community.
  • Provide strategic and operational direction for the project team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Set a personal example in health, safety, and environmental matters, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Drive quality delivery through effective planning, right-first-time delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop key staff, ensuring their growth and development within the company.
  • Lead and manage the project team, fostering high levels of commitment, morale, and motivation.
  • Adopt and maintain cost-conscious management practices, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with clients and stakeholders, promoting repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain effective cost management systems, ensuring financial control and reliable reporting.
  • Ensure processes are in place for the preparation, review, and briefing of method statements, activity plans, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure systems are in place for the successful commercial and financial management of the project.
Requirements
  • Degree or HND in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a Project Manager or Senior Agent within Civil Engineering contracting.
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities, commensurate with the role.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the civils construction environment and forms of contract used.
  • Experience of working in construction project delivery.
