Main Responsibilities

Detailed Responsibilities
- Manage the effective utilization of inpatient beds to ensure efficient service delivery for both emergency and elective admissions.
- Provide senior nursing support through advanced assessment and clinical management across various departments.
- Ensure timely patient assessments and transfers from the A&E department to optimize clinical care.
- Act as a liaison during out-of-hours periods, coordinating with on-call teams as necessary.

Experience
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse with a first-degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Current Band 6 with significant experience in an acute care setting.
- Management qualification or relevant experience.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated high standards of nursing care and accountability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
- Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of hospital operations.
- Extensive post-registration experience managing complex clinical situations.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in implementing improvements that benefit patient care.
- Collaboration with stakeholders such as ambulance services or primary care.
- Comprehensive understanding of NHS healthcare services and priorities.
- Advanced assessment skills.
