Job Summary:

Care UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Second Chef to join our award-winning catering team. As a Second Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train junior chefs to ensure high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu ideas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a chef in a high-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing situations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
