About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Delivery Manager to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our services to patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls, and resource constraints.
  • Develop and implement effective administration systems to support the clinical teams in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Work closely with the Medical & Nursing teams, Clinical Leads, Service Manager, Associate General Manager, Senior Nurses, and Heads of Service to ensure the delivery of high-quality, value-for-money patient care and experience.
  • Establish and maintain clear and transparent measures of success (KPI's) for your service/s and ensure they are delivered at the required level.
  • Support the implementation of service improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of services in accordance with the clinical strategy.
Requirements
  • Management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of managing people and facilitating a participative style.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Commitment to continuing own professional development.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare governance and shared governance.
  • Able to gain respect from team members.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of change management.
  • Report writing.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of process mapping.
  • Understanding of the concepts of LEAN.
