About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead our London programmes delivery team. As the first point of contact and lead for Rail Delivery Group (RDG) in engaging with change programmes in the London Area, you will be responsible for transitioning programmes through their entire life cycle from instigation to development to delivery into Business As Usual (BAU).

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver programmes that impact London and its significant revenue streams, ensuring timely and budget delivery.
  • Lead in coordinating multiple workstreams and teams, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and risk management.
  • Oversee the change programme for amendments to the methodology of allocating Outboundary Travelcard revenue, including the implementation of the Model for OutBoundary ITSO Smartcards (MOBIS).
  • Coordinate the requirements for any changes to BAU processes or Agreements for any alterations to key TfL schemes, such as 60+ Oyster and railcard acceptance.
  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of Oval Phase 2, coordinating across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of each workstream.
  • Provide support to the 'Project Oval – Deliverable 2' workstream (D2), introducing railcard discounts to Contactless payment cards to/from London, ensuring alignment with broader Project Oval goals and Fares, Ticketing & Retail programme objectives.
  • Collaborate with wider rail industry stakeholders to support Rail Reform initiatives, ensuring impacts on London revenue and customer propositions are appropriately considered.
  • Support the London and wider Commercial Team in managing commercial agreements for the London Police forces and developing changes to commercial agreements resulting from change programmes in London.
Requirements
  • Experience of project management techniques and an understanding of commercial agreements.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks, opportunities, and trade-offs negotiations and delivery.
  • Robust planning skills and the ability to develop and implement robust processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, liaising with all stakeholders, Industry boards, and project team members.
  • Experience of delivering complex technical projects in line with a recognised delivery lifecycle.
  • Experience with project scheduling – both resource and time as well as budget and cost control.
  • Experience in dealing with external resource, including third-party contracts and procurement.
  • Solid understanding of a project business case and ability to translate the business case into successful delivery.
