About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiotherapy Physics Technologist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our Radiotherapy Physics Service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our radiotherapy equipment and treatments.

Main Responsibilities

As a Radiotherapy Physics Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine tests on equipment, maintaining quality control records, and assisting with equipment management. You will also work closely with clinical scientists and engineers to ensure the smooth operation of our treatment machines.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or HND in a physical or biological science
  • Practical experience in a scientific project or research
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Manual and mental dexterity to perform practical tasks with accuracy and precision

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Registration as a Radiotherapy Physics Clinical Technologist
  • Experience working in a Radiotherapy Medical Physics Department
  • Ability to manage own time and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to speak Welsh
