Our stylish and comfortable en-suite rooms, studios, and apartment rooms offer access to outstanding facilities, including gyms, cinemas, social and study spaces, and 24/7 on-site security and maintenance teams.
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to join our team for a 3-month internship. This role is an excellent opportunity for university students seeking placement experience or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in the student accommodation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in generating leads and attracting prospective students through various sales and marketing activities.
- Support the sales team in managing and updating the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Respond to inquiries from students and parents, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs and concerns to help them book accommodation.
- Participate in market research to identify new opportunities and trends within the student housing market.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Effectively balance the core direct sales disciplines, including prospecting, solicitation, rate quoting, contracting, sales calls, and online conversations.
- Respond promptly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Assist sales representatives and executives in communicating effectively with operational departments.
- Assist salespersons in reviewing group resumes and rooming lists to ensure accuracy and fulfill any special requests.
- Comply with the demands coming from the sales executive and other salespersons.
- Be available to work on weekends and during evening shifts as required to meet the sales department's needs.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program (preferably in business, marketing, or a related field).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prior sales or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn about the student accommodation industry.
- Flexible to work weekends and evening shifts.
- Must have a valid work permit in the UK (part-time or full-time).
