About Plosive

Plosive is a leading production company in the live comedy and audio content industry. We produce live comedy shows and audio podcasts, and are looking for a skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing and Communications Specialist to support the promotion of our live comedy shows and audio podcasts. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering marketing campaigns, managing social media, and working closely with our Live Promoter and Podcast Producer to achieve our marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver marketing campaigns for our live productions and touring shows
  • Manage social media accounts and create engaging content
  • Liaise with external PR companies to manage press campaigns for live shows and podcasts
  • Write press releases and update listings
  • Monitor ticket sales and deliver reactive campaigns accordingly
  • Coordinate and manage paid digital marketing campaigns
  • Oversee and schedule the company's social media content plan
  • Write and deliver targeted e-newsletters
  • Maintain and manage email databases in line with current data protection rules and regulations
  • Assist at Plosive shows, particularly press nights
  • Represent Plosive at comedy and arts events and festivals in the UK and potentially abroad

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience in a live arts marketing position
  • Experience in coordinating marketing campaigns
  • Experience of running social media advertising
  • Knowledge of different social media platforms and skills in updating these
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
  • The willingness and dedication to learn new skills as required
