Job Summary:

This is a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner position within the NHS. The successful candidate will be employed in an IAPT psychological treatment service and will work with people across the adult age range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with people who are struggling with their mental health, providing support and guidance to help them manage their symptoms.
  • Attend university one day a week to complete training and gain a postgraduate certificate.
  • Work in a service environment for the remaining 4 days a week, applying the skills and knowledge gained through training.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with people with psychological, interpersonal, or social problems, either through employed positions or formal volunteer roles.
  • Aptitude to study at postgraduate level, demonstrated through degree-level education or academic equivalence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
