We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at The People Co. in the UK's leading agricultural business.
About the Role:
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with transport laws and regulations, performing shift handovers, and driver debriefs. You will also assess key performance indicators (KPIs) and take appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost, safety, and quality goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and improve operational performance through OEE, shift handover meetings, engineering projects, and 1:1s.
- Ensure required documentation is completed and transacted correctly, including compliance, environmental, safety, and financial records.
- Provide leadership and commitment to continuing improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
- Coordinate resources to ensure holidays are covered and overtime budgets are controlled.
- Effectively schedule and deliver planned maintenance for the mill and vehicle fleet.
- Develop and implement Standard Working Procedures (SWPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for continuous site and people development.
- Review complaints to understand root causes and share learnings.
- Ensure adherence to UFAS, environmental, H&S, and NWF site compliance standards.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Production/Operations Manager within food or agriculture.
- A background in motivating people to create a high-performance culture.
- A proven background in achieving H&S/Compliance audit scores.
