About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Oncology Day unit team at Spire Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Nursing and Medical Duties: Work under the supervision of the clinical team to provide high-quality patient care, including assisting with nursing and medical duties.
  • Support and Monitor Patients: Contribute to the support and monitoring of patients, ensuring their needs are met and their well-being is maintained.
  • Identify and Report Significant Changes: Identify and report any significant changes that may affect a patient's health and well-being to the appropriate person.
  • Assist with Patient Movement: Assist with the movement of patients in line with hospital policies, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualification: NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Clinical Skills: Good clinical skills in phlebotomy, ECGs, and patient observations
  • Experience: Previous experience of working as an HCA in a hospital environment
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
