Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Acute Oncology

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Acute Oncology Service at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care, working autonomously to diagnose and formulate management plans for patients with acute oncology needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide early input into coordination of care, ensuring patients access the right care at the right time.
  • Support the provision of telephone triage advice for patients and health professionals with complications of their systemic anti-cancer treatment.
  • Continually review and audit pathways of care to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Work as part of the ambulatory clinic for all patients requiring review post ED attendance.
  • Review patients as a part of the oncology daily ward round and ensure delivery of the appropriate care plan.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues within the Trust and those from other hospital Trusts.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in cancer or acute care.
  • Experience in service development and implementation of change.
  • Publication in healthcare journals.
