Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Oncology

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Acute Oncology Service at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care, working autonomously to diagnose and formulate management plans for patients with complex cancer needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical assessment, history taking, and examination skills to diagnose and manage patients with cancer.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
  • Lead in the development and updating of referral guidelines and policies for the service, ensuring best practice and evidence-based care.
  • Manage medical emergencies and escalate concerns as necessary, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Contribute to the quality and standard of care provided by the team, identifying skills gaps and training needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in cancer or acute care.
  • Experience in service development and implementation of change.
  • Advanced physical assessment skills, non-medical prescribing, and acute clinical practice.
