About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to join our team at ESS, a leading provider of food and hospitality services to the Defence, Government, and Energy sectors. As a Catering Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchens and service counters, delivering exceptional food experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of delicious food to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items.
  • Supervise and motivate our culinary and catering teams, providing guidance and support to help them excel in their roles.
  • Communicate effectively with your line manager to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets, ensuring we meet our business objectives.
  • Represent ESS and maintain a positive brand image, promoting our values and standards to customers and stakeholders.
  • Liaise between customers and our culinary and service teams to ensure we exceed expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Support and train our teams, leading from the front to ensure everyone has the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
  • Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional food and customer service.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on motivating and developing staff.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ambitious and motivated individual, always looking to upskill and develop their knowledge and expertise.
