Job OverviewPosition Summary

At Turning Point, we are dedicated to assisting individuals throughout England who are facing challenges related to substance misuse. As a Wellbeing Recovery Worker, you will play a pivotal role in transforming lives by crafting personalized, adaptable, and realistic support plans tailored to their unique needs.

This position is situated within a correctional facility, where we implement a comprehensive model of psycho-social and clinical assistance, grounded in evidence and aimed at addressing intricate individual requirements.

As a Wellbeing Recovery Worker, you will receive a competitive starting salary of £26,324 plus an additional £3,633 for Inner London Weighting, with annual increments aligned with our pay progression structure, potentially reaching £30,794 per annum plus £3,633 ILW. (Depending on your experience, a higher starting salary may be considered).

Key Responsibilities

As a Wellbeing Recovery Worker, you will contribute to delivering a high-quality, person-centered service. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with service users to formulate realistic and flexible support packages, working closely with our partners, and engaging with community teams. Specific duties will encompass providing guidance, information, and referrals to service users, facilitating group sessions, educating on harm reduction strategies, and conducting one-on-one recovery planning. You will also be tasked with performing risk assessments and ensuring timely and accurate reporting and record-keeping.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. You should possess experience in managing a caseload of individuals with complex needs and a proven history of handling incidents involving verbal and physical aggression. The core working hours are Monday to Friday, with some weekend shifts on a rotational basis. Due to the nature of the role, obtaining full clearance for working in a correctional environment is required.
