Contract/Project Manager (Steelwork Industry)

Location: Derbyshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract/Project Manager to join our clients growing team in the steelwork industry. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

About the Role:
  • Contract & Project Management: Manage all stages of steelwork contracts from inception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Cost Management: Develop and manage budgets, including costings, forecasting, and financial control, to ensure projects are completed within allocated resources.
  • Site Surveys & Meetings: Conduct site surveys and attend client and site meetings to ensure project requirements are fully understood and met, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Labour Management: Organize and oversee labour, ensuring efficient resource allocation and smooth project execution.
  • Deadline Management: Work to strict deadlines, ensuring contracts are completed to the highest quality standards and meeting client expectations.
About You:
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in contract and project management within the steelwork industry, with a focus on architectural steel.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of budgeting, costing, surveys, and labour management, with proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel nationwide, as the role involves managing contracts across the country.
