Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our residential services, working closely with the Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to ensure the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager in the overall management of the residential services, including staff supervision, training, and development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the services.
  • Work closely with the Team Leaders to ensure that the needs of the young people are met, and that the services are delivered in accordance with the company's values and standards.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and induction of new staff members.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures to ensure that the services meet the required standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a residential childcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, young people, and external partners.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-in shifts, and to be on-call as required.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection.
